After School Post (Full for Spring 2016)

The After School Post meets on Thursdays from 3:15-4:15. We publish a physical newspaper for the lower school two times a semester and an ebook at the end of each semester.  Students have the freedom to write about anything that they would like while working for the After School Post.  We have students who write book reviews, write jokes, create puzzles and write original stories.

In addition to writing for the After School Post, students are also responsible for writing their own family newsletter.  Students can send up to three family newsletters to five different addresses throughout the semester.  If you have any questions about the After School Post, please send me an email at mlittlefield@usn.org

Computer Programming Club (Three Spots Open for 2016)

Our Scratch programming club meets on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15.  We do our best to post our final projects to our USN studio.  Students will learn how to animate objects, create puzzles and make games.  Students will also learn about various gadgets and learn how to program with Python and Bitsbox.

Students are able to work on any project while they are home.  They are curators to our USN Lab studio and are the experts in their class while we are doing our Scratch unit.  If you have any questions about the Computer Programming Club, please email me at mlittlefield@usn.org.
